On January 9, 1978, in Miami, Florida, Chad Javon Johnson was born. She attended Miami Beach Senior High School. Langston University accepted her after graduating high school in 1997. Santa Monica College, where he played football, was his next stop. Steve Smith, a future NFL wide receiver, played football with him at Santa Monica. After being recruited to play for Oregon State University, Chad transferred.

Santa Monica’s Johnson dominated, drawing attention from top football programs. In 2000, Chad Ochocinco Johnson transferred to Oregon State. He led his team to an 11-1 record and a Fiesta Bowl win over Notre Dame.

The Cincinnati Bengals selected Johnson in the second round of the 2001 NFL draught with the 36th overall pick. Johnson broke the franchise record with 1,355 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns the following year. His bragging and disrespect for authority caused problems for everyone. He earned 6 Pro-bowl and 4 All-pro selections. Chad extended his Bengals contract through 2011 on April 20, 2006.

In his final season with the Bengals, Chad tied the franchise record for touchdown catches and became the 6th NFL player to reach 10,000 receiving yards with one team. In July 2011, he was traded to the New England Patriots from Cincinnati, but he was released after a year. Johnson had his worst season, catching 15 passes for 276 yards and a touchdown.  After being arrested for domestic abuse against his reality star wife Evelyn Lozada, he was released from the Miami Dolphins in August 2012.

On April 17, 2014, he signed a two-year contract with the Montreal Alouettes, but he only played five regular season games. He was suspended for the 2015 CFL season after missing spring training camp.  He became a free agent on February 9, 2016, after not receiving a new contract.  After joining the National Premier Soccer League in 2018, he returned to soccer. He scored his first goal for the club on October 20, 2018, when he scored a penalty against FC Boca Predators.

On July 4, 2012, he and Evelyn said their “I dos.” A month later, on August 11, 2012, he was arrested for domestic battery. The following afternoon, he posted bond and was released. Lozada’s divorce finalised in September of 2012. After agreeing to a one-year probationary period as part of a plea bargain, he was apprehended in May 2013 for breaking the terms of his release. He was given a thirty-day jail term after pleading guilty, but he only served seven. His ex-girlfriend, Annalise Mishler, filed a domestic violence and robbery charge against him in March of 2020.
